(Japanese) Chopstick Manners

Hello! How are you doing, everyone? Are you enjoying the winter vacation? As for me, I am working a part-time job.     Today, I will write about Japanese chopstick manners. I hope it will help you explain chopstick manners to foreigners. Before we get to the main topic, I must say this: I am not from Hiroshima, so my manners might differ from yours.     First of all, I will tell you how you use chopsticks. To use chopsticks properly, you hold a chopstick just like the way you hold a pen, but in the upper position, and then you slide another chopstick through the  circle with your thumb and forefinger into space between the middle finger and ring finger. You shouldn't move the later chopstick,  just the former. Then you can cut things, pick them up and loosen them.     There are things you must not do.   Stabbing food. I think this is one of the most common mistakes among foreigners. Don't stab food with chopsticks. Childre...

My Thoughts on Chopsticks (Not Finished)

Hello, everyone! Are you enjoying eating? Today I am going to be featuring something related to eating.      Do you know eating utensils called chopsticks? My Favorite Movie

A movie that I really liked was called "The Truman Show".  It was made in 1998, and Jim Carrey starred. It was directed by Peter Weir and written by Andrew Niccol. It won the Golden Globe Awards, The Hugo  Awards and the Saturn Award.      Truman Burbank was the star of the truman Show and he had lived in the Seahaven Island, which was actually a huge TV program set. The only person who didn't know that the town was a fake one was Truman, and the other people were actors. The life of Truman was broadcasted on TV 24 hours a day. It was not until 30 years have passed that Truman noticed something of the island was wrong and it was a fake one. After some attempts to get out of the island, he finally made it and the TV show finished. It was very interesting and fun to see Truman's attempts and how Truman's life events had been affected by things happened in the real world.     I think this movie is related to many people because everyon...
